VSC
« on: November 09, 2007, 06:51:30 PM »
Sitting here looking at the flyer that was sent to me for VSC XX.  It is hard to think that I have made the ones I have.  Little Savannah was just couple of months old when I attended my first one.  She will be 13 on her birthday which is the day before mine.  The doctor wouldn't wait as it would interfere with his golf game.  Anyway I decided to go see if the Cholla Choppers had listed it yet on the calender.  Also anybody that likes Old Time and Classic planes this is a must get together.  The awards are fantastic and the friendships that are made, no value can be put on it.  The flyer also states that pre-entries are required.  Which I think is great for something this big as,  if you can't make it the entry will be refunded.  Jim Hoffman and his beautiful wife also conduct/set-up a fantastic banquet.  Some people think it is high priced, but, for the facilities and the food it is worth it.  Besides where else can you see the greats of stuntdom all dressed up after a week of playing in the sun.  If you are interested the info can be found on the Cholla Choppers site at:   www.ccmaconline.org    .   Have fun,  DOC Holliday

VSC is THE fun get together! Like an annual huge family reunion. Meeting everyone again or for the first time.. we are lucky to be part of this fraternity.

It is nip & tuck whether I can make it, but I am sure trying. I would hate to miss out on seeing the Jack Sheeks airplanes, particularly since John Miller and I are starting Sheeks awards.

In the vernacular of my misspent youth "Cool Dude".  I went last year for the first time and I am hooked.  Look forward to seeing you Doc, and yes the banquet is worth every penny.  How often do you get to have dinner with the best people you could ever want to meet.
