VooDoo Kits
« on: July 19, 2023, 11:11:11 AM »
Is anyone selling laser cut VooDoo kits? I have interest, but do not want to offer something someone else is already selling.

Thanks,  Pat

Not a real VooDoo if it doesn't have the hawlking D section leading edge.

How about kitting the Slasher. It's an easy build, plus it turns and burns better than the VooDoo.

Years ago when I was producing kits and wanted to kit a design by a designer who was still living, I always contacted them and asked for their permission to kit the model.  In all the years I did this, I never had a designer tell me no, except Riley Wooten.  He told me at the time that he had plans to kit it himself.  I cant remember if he ever did.

Pat, with the quality of kits you produce, I would like to see you do it.  It would be a great addition to your great present selection.

That's too bad, it really was a part of the character of allot of those old combat jobs.

My Ringmaster Bipe was first sold in July 2002, my Baby Ringmaster was first sold in August 2008. Therefore, I see no moral reason I should not offer a VooDoo kit. I have no qualms about offering airplane kits of airplanes someone else is selling if they are selling kits of airplanes I am selling. It is a shitty way to do business, but the competition establishes the rules of engagement! I will do unto others as they do unto me!!

Pat, you don't have the kits ready to go immediately, correct?   Order a kit and wait for it to bezapped and boxed for the USPS to hold up delivery.  Pat does great work as well as the other gentlemen on this forum.  If I had room I would have one of every kit they produced. D>K H^^

Doc,
Most everything I sell is cut to order. I have a few kits here in the shop, but that is only because I hoped they would sell when someone bought one and I ordered two. I do not want to tie up too much capital in stock. I have enough in material and equipment now. I did not replace my plotter because the kit business will not justify the $4000.00 expenditure. I do the kit business for my enjoyment and for people to have fun. I try very hard not to lose money on selling kits.

Thanks,  Pat
