Vinyl Graphics to provide color scheme
« on: February 02, 2015, 11:37:05 AM »
I recently finished building an Enterprise-E stunt plane with electric power.  Painted the fuselage red, and covered the wing with red Monokote.  Then I applied vinyl graphics to dress it up.  The vinyl graphics were provided by Avaiojet.

Looks great!  I also appreciate that you took some effort to dress up the back-drop!  Nice presentation.
When you applied the graphics, was there any trick? I've tried the Windex trick which worked well, leaving the model out in the sun for a few hours.

I tried the Windex, but it seemed that the vinyl was too easy to slide around and was difficult to make it stay straight.  Then I applied the rest of the vinyl without using Windex.  When I didn't get a graphic straight on the first try, it was not too difficult to pull it up and try again.

Very nicely done model, Dave!  Have u had a chance to fly it?  One of the nice things about electric is that u can "Short Tank" it so easy with a timer. ;D  Let's u do some trim flights with out spending a lot of time.

We need to get together again, it has been a while!

Haven't flown it yet.

Thanks Bill.  Yes, we should get together to fly again.
