Here is the video of day one for your perusal. Wonderful contest and sunny but weird winds that made it all the more exciting.
We fly control line.

Fun to go back and watch where we were and what we did.
Hey......at least I was in the game. May be able to repair the Privateer. Maybe.

You were in Polk City and I was in Newton. Though a bit windy and naturally at our backs making hand launches interesting, it was a pretty nice weekend away with the guys and our planes. Good job on placement Shug, you were flying with some of the best.

Good times in iowa for us both.
Nice to have some of the real good flyers there. Ups the ante!

WHOOPSIE .

If the Fuse was cut under to fit the Wing , might pay to cut in under clear and run a few ' joiners through , on the spars .
A few 2x4s etc on the level playing feild , ER . Building Board - at the Spars & Trailing Edge ( or flaps ) to set it all true ,
Pre Coat Both breaks with P V A , fit together and sit on the pre set packers , With a few things ( Er , block)s clamped to bench - to wedge ends ( Tips )
so the joins are closed tight & true .) After Its kicked off & cured , you look at adding the extras to brace it . Tecnically - if its a clean break - the glues
stronger than the wood , so theyre unnessesary , so dont go overboard . Wipe of excess glue , as its weighty .
Used a whole can of pins ' reassembling ' a 150% pommy Profile Peacemaker that'd gone in hard . Most ribs in 3 pieces etc , so yours is easy . S?P H^^

Mucho appreciato Jared...that is about what I was thinking. Got my engine mounted and 6oz tank installed. Cooking 125 pounds of pork butts today so Strega will be in hold. Even ARFs take me a long time to do.

Thanks for the inspiration to rebuild the Privateer. I think I will. Those are terrific tips Topper.

Hope you get more fuel mileage than I do. I can barely squeeze the pattern in on 7 oz with my ST 60's
