I think the battery needs to be trimmed to give equal flight times---lets the electrons flow out more equally!

Seriously, I have noted the same effect, you can even see the power draw is less for the faster flight. You are right that it must be that the flight configuration is less draggy for one or the other. Makes you wonder a little about all the adjustments we make for normal glow engines to equalize upright and inverted flights.

Looks like you didn't have too many flights on the plane before that video.  Is there some way of controlling the rpm of the motor?  Also maybe longer lines by a foot or two will make a big difference as well as a different prop.  I wanted one of the E-Clowns, but, got tired of waiting and canceled order.  DOC Holliday

I was thinking the same thing about his camera man.  Only lost it once or twice.  Lucky the poor guy did not fall over with all that filming...

That set up was 100% Brodak, well except for the prop.  The controller had no way to throttle the motor, only to adjust the overall run times.  It was a pretty docile set up with the recommended prop, but a little light on the lines in the maneuvers due to the slowdown.  When I switched it to the prop I mention during the video, it really seemed to hang out there better.  The hardest maneuver was the vertical 8.  The top of the top loop was where it struggled most.  With the prop as shown in the film, the top became acceptable.  The weak point for the whole set up was the amount of weight that you had when fully assembled and the limited amount of wing.  The thinner airfoil also seemed to perform a little better at the higher speeds in my opinion.  As I mentioned before in the review section, I think that this airplane is okay to break the ice in electric, but not the ultimate easy stunt machine.  The best thing I liked about the airplane is that I never had to wipe it off.

FWIW, my current Electric Super Clown Arf flying weight is 28 oz. This includes the 3s 2100maHr Lipo. I typically am using ~1700mAhr for the full pattern. The ESC is the CC 35A Phoenix, and as a timer I use the JMP2 timer. The motor is the Brodak Stock motor and as a prop I use an APC 10-7 Thin Electric Prop. This is what I flew at Sig last summer. I think it makes a nice combo. I believe this weight is comparable to a glow setup for the "normal" Brodak Super Clown Arf.
