You can mount the ball link on the bellcrank, do your sheeting then thread the push rod through the hole and into the ball link. It takes patience but, I've done it a few times.

MM

Yes you can.  I said in the video there was more than one way to do things like this,

Great idea Mike, thanks for that video. Another good thing about your method is you can lengthen or shorten the pushrod to correct the rod length for miscalculations in up/down throw.

Just watched and listened to your great video on the lap top.  Still can't get sound on main computer.  On another post some one mentioned that the glue would build pressure in the tube as you slide the rod into place.  I myself drill a very small hole a little ways past where the glue will be.  This lets the pressure of air in the tube escape.  If a person is worried about the carbon splitting from the drilling of a small hole, a wrap of glass cloth and epoxy will take care of that or slide another piece of tubing over the rod before gluing the rod in place.  My thoughts. I just block each end with weights and add tape over the tube for security. like others, I use a 1/4" aluminum collar at each end. I wish the common hobby suppliers, Great Planes, Dubro, etc., made LH threaded 4-40 solder couplers in addition to the regular RH ones so I can adjust the flap-elevator by turning the rod. I know there are some short rods like that but my LHS doesn't stock them.

Btw, Mike and others, do you guys tap your ball links, or just force thread them with the threaded end of the pushrod? I usually pre-tap them.

Rusty I just screw them over the threads on the connector.
