Title: Venturi size for an ST .45 R/C
Post by: Juan Valentin on June 28, 2010, 02:36:13 PM

I have a friend coming back to Control line after many years and he needs a venturi for his ST .45.I don`t know if the engine timing might be suitable for stunt but I can make one but need to know what would be the desirable ID size for the venturi. All help Appreciated.

Try to post this thread in the Engine set up tips forum.
Second be more specific witch ST .45 motor do you have.

To my knowledge, none of the .45 s were anywhere near a useful stunt timing.
So be prepared to do a lot of work first and being disapointed in the end.... :(

Juan,

I had Byron Barker rework an RC ST 45 which is one of the new Chinese made engines. He hemied the head, did a little minor re-timing work and made the venturi with a sprinkler ST needle valve.

Engine runs a very consistent 2-4 break. he has reworked several of my engines and this one is by far the best. Look in the magazines for CF Slaterly Company, he does a great job and is a heck of a nice guy.
