Where might I find a copy of the original set of these plans?
Thanks a lot

AMA Plans service lists a couple of different "Veco Tomahawk" plans, plus the Veco Tom-Tom, plus a couple other 'Tomahawk' plans.

If you go to Brodaks you can get either the Original Tomahawk or the newer Tomahawk plans. I have both kits in my possession.

I built a "Veco" (original) Tomahawk from Brodak plans while a buddy of mine built a "Veco" Tomahawk from plans drawn of kit parts. The Brodak wing is constructed with slightly different methods. Mostly very close to the "Veco kit drawings". A very nice flying smaller profile using a .20FP BBTU, or a .25FP. Haven't seen one yet with a .25LA, so can't comment other than to say it should fly well. A Veco .19BB might be a very good choice while a plain bearing Veco .19 wil fly it pretty good.

None of the plans I've seen are completely accurate so I drew my own from a kit. The Tomahawk wing, when built per the kit, looks like a beautiful I-beamer. I posted my plans on the Hip Pocket Builders forum http://www.hippocketaeronautics.com/hpa_plans/categories.php?cat_id=71&page=2.

Veco Tom Tom I had did not fly very well. It is designed for a .19 engine ... I used a Fox 35 and it was a dog.

The Original Tomahawk was one of my first profiles that didn't last long. The newer version is what my son won his first award with. I also still have an original Tom Tom hanging in the shop that has been flown at the NATS in classic with a Fox .19 that was fast.

The first larger than 1/2A plane that I flew back in the mid fifties (year, not age) was a friend's VECO Tom Tom powered by a weak McCoy .29 gold head. The plane flew fine, the flyer did not. Since we were in knee-high grass I only broke the wooden prop.
Never flew the tomahawk.

Guy's I sure do thank y'all for all the responses, and those that built and flew the Tomahawk what engine did you find worked best on one?
I have an O S 20 and a couple OS 25's ,was thinking about the 25's, but after reading I am re-thinking engine size, what about an O S 15 on the model, and I am thinking about "scratch" building one also. If I had a kit I think that I'd hold on to it instead.
Again I sure do appreciate all the responses... y1

I thought I answered that. Didn't have the OS back then.

Brother Gil,
Both of the Tomahawks I mentioned are flown with an OS .20FP (BBTU). A great combination!
