Post by: Vince Mankowski on October 29, 2017, 04:17:11 PM
Wasn't someone doing a laser cut kit of the old Veco P-51? Anyone remember of know if these are still available?

Vince, Ed at Action Hobbies/Lazer Works (in the Vendors Corner here) does a nice laser-cut short kit:

It appears to be priced at $52.00 + S&H, and is based on Tom Dixon's drawing if I'm not mistaken.  I've purchased several of Ed's packages and have been very pleased with both the cutting and the wood selection.  Good luck!

Larry Richards kitted that design a few years ago. This may be the one you are thinking of. Someone may have one they are willing to part with otherwise
the Lazarworks short kit would be the best way to go IMO.  8)

Here’s my Veco P51 from Lazer works and Tom Dixon plan. Made the wing removable and fly with an Enya 25.

Very Nice!
The extra detailing sets it off well.
Removable wing certainly helps storage and transport.

Great story Bob.  Now, just because you are retired doesn't mean you can't go out and keep the kids on their toes.

Now as my neighbor lady that was known as Grandma to all the kids of the area used to say, "For a long life you have to stay busy".  She was in her 90's when she went to be with our LORD.

Thanks for straightening that out , Bob .

At ' The Library ' time means you sometimes run with it , was wondering ' Old time ' or ' Classic ' .Shoulda put BOTH I guess .

Your paint job was similar to the bottom picture ? with the Sun Burst wing things , and it was BRONZE ! ?  S?P
Is THIS where your Bronze ideology stated ? . :)

cant be this one , though a similar ' sunburst ' one was round , back then .  :-\

Matt.
I was there at the first Old Tyme stunt meet, The  placement was D'Ottavio, Hunt, Niebuhr (me) in that order.

It was some time later that Bob acquired several 55 gallon Drums of that Bronze dope!!

Bob will have tell you about how "Miss Old Tyme Stunt" fell in love with him! She sure was cute,
