Title: User names
Post by: RC Storick on December 22, 2006, 07:56:26 PM
skyshark58 ,rbush ,wfortney99

I will be posting user names here that are in violation of the user agreement. You must use your real first and last name in your profile somewhere. If you do not know how to fix it contact Bill Little, Randy Smith or my self Robert Storick. This board requirements are as stated in the user agreement. No exceptions!

I will be adding more names as I see them.

It's no joke. Last Thursday, President Bush signed into law a prohibition on posting annoying Web messages or sending annoying e-mail messages without disclosing your true identity.

So now its Official you must have your real first and last name in your profile.

Of coarse we don't have these types of annoying messages posted here at Stunt Hangar do we?

You're right about the quality of the post here... however... the profiles for most members who post using an alias do not contain he person's real name... at least we can't see who they really are! So even if you have the real names in some sort of file, it still isn't know to the average poster. Identity is key to this new law.

I've always posted everyplace with my real name (dumba$$ that I might be) but I really would like to know who "LineStomper" really is. How about it? I see no compelling reason to protect the real identity of anyone who posts on a public forum.

Sorry Bob, "Linestomper" was just a hypothetical example. There have been times that I've wanted to know who the poster is but can't find a real name. A real example is Shultzie and there are many others.

Shultzie is Don Schultz. If you look at the persons profile and if they have followed the guide lines it better be in their signature or visible somewhere. After the first of the year I will start pruning again. It's a huge job to make sure things are right here at Stunt Hangar. I am glad I have some help from Bill Little and now Randy Smith.

As it is stated annoying is different for different people.  While I was still working we had one person file a sexual complaint against us her fellow emplyees.  We had another lady that we was always clowning around with with no actual sexual activities that this one person overheard our conversations.  We always tried to make sure it was okay before we said or did things.  The first lady was repimanded for eavesdropping.  There was even a special place for our Playboy magazine that only those in the know was supposed to get to.  The first lady was also on the carpet for violating a person private property.  As long as it was not seen the management always looked the other way.  Later,  DOC Holliday

PS:One of the best articles on NASCAR was in a Playboy magazine.

I think many of us use(d) nicknames because when we first got online there were few SPAM filters and we wanted to remain anonymous. Most of those reasons no longer exist.

I just used my initials (GCB) because it was easier to type.  ;)
