Low attendance for a contest has a silver lining. We bought enough hot dogs, donuts and pop to feed 20+ people. Due to inertia and a rainy forecast we had 8 or nine flyers. It was a dismal turnout but it was a blessiong when you consider all the extra donuts and cookies we could eat.

That rainy day forecast was a blessing too. It drizzled once all day for about 5 minutes. It was cloudy all day and it was great to not have the sun beating down. And the temperature was comfortable. The wind was lite and it was pure joy to fly our planes. Since there weren't so many of us out there we got done pretty early and used the rest of the afternoon to fly whatever we wanted. Both circles were kept busy all of the time.
We had so many extra hotdogs that even stunt dog Maggie had all she could eat.
Overall I am very happy with how yesterday's event turned out.
There is a silver lining in a rainy forecast.
If it might rain---the turn out will be low and there will be plenty to eat. It won't get too hot or very sunny so the flying will be painless and you don't have to do HSQ8s in the sun. There will be time to sit and chat.
Godbless the guys that stay home.
