Title: Updating my website
Post by: John Miller on October 03, 2010, 05:02:01 PM
My old site has been up for almost 2 years, with basically no changes,or new additions. I have had new ideas on what I thought should be on the site, but since my skills as a web author, were next to nil. it just sat there.

A few weeks ago a new, to me, web authoring software caught my eye at Office Depot. The price was reasonable, and there was a rebate available that made it even better, so, I bought it.

When I first looked inside the program, I was reminded of looking in my first CAD program. It looked daunting. Learning CAD those years ago, taught me the lessons needed to get on with this project. A bit of reading tutorials, doing the examples, and just trying, and after about 8 hours it started to break into the light.

Now, about a week later, and a lot of hours per day, I am able to get around inside the program fairly well.

Today, I finished publishing it to the server. I had a lot of help, initially, from Walter Umland, who helped me get through the early pitfalls. I learned that if you don't have the right pathway, things simply dissapear..... HB~>

I still have a few things to finish up, the links page is not linked to sited yet.

If you'd like to take a look, it's at.

Thanks to all for their help.

Terrific!  I have a feeling that a set of the plans for the Pathfinder 30 will find a home on my building bench.

The new site looks nice.
There are some issues in the Patfinder History section.

Very nice site. I like the lighter colors. Looking forward to seeing the rest of your site when construction is finished.
