I have add a feature to show your location in your posts by your name. This is enabled in profile settings.

I already have my location on my posts.   That is if they use Yahoo maps they will never find me.   What is fun is look at Google maps and look at how cluttered my yard/property is.

There is now a radio drop down in your profile to add age and location. I don't care too much about age but location is needed for a function that is up coming. This will be sort of like the PAMPA directory only tons faster to find a flying buddy. everyones location will be shown under their name in posts. So no need to search for it in a signiture.

Robert, I'm sorry but I looked at everything and I can't find where to make this change.  Nothing looks different to me anywhere.  For us computer dummies, how about a step by step. H^^

Hmmm. Seems to be automatic. There it is and I didn't do a thing to my profile.

Now along with location you can add a face book, twitter, etc icon in your profile so your friend can follow you here.

This can be reached by clicking on you name and then Forum Profile Information.

I put it back in, but wasn't there a reason that we had to remove it before? Something about looking up the location in some database that bogged the whole thing down?

I am by no means the oldest member age wise here, but I just realized that I am 10 and 20 years older than the last two posters to this thread!  LL~  LL~

There was. I have figured out the problem. stuff takes time and because I have no clue on what I am doing a long time sometimes. This is my second full time job. When I am not working or working on a plane I am siting here searching to web for solutions to issues we have here. After finding answers it is trial and error. Lots of emphasis on error! It would be much easier to open a forum now than it was 7 years ago. I have a clue on what to do.
