Title: UPDATE on Eric Rule
Post by: Mike Griffin on March 09, 2015, 01:04:36 PM: I received a short e mail from Eric last night stating that he continues to have problems with spasms of his diaphragm and stomach. These episodes can continue for hours upon end. He is having more tests done this coming Friday, March 13th and hopefully the doctor will be able to figure out how to stop this. He is still unable to talk on the phone and is resting a lot. He knows you all are praying for him and sending positve thoughts his way and is very greatful.

I miss my conversations with him as you all do but he is gonna kick this thing in the butt .... just taking some time.

He is apparently a superman and I am sure a true gentleman. He is in my prayers and thoughts. Get well soon Eric.

I am happy to report that the symptoms have stopped. The doctors still do not what was causing the stomach spasms. I do have a test scheduled for this Friday so with any luck they will determine why it happened and perhaps offer a cure.

At the present time I am back at work trying to catch up with all of the orders. I will not be able to attend the VSC so will miss seeing everyone there.

Nice to hear that things are better for you. I sincerely hope they figure out what the issue is and do something to prevent it in the future.

I had a bout of very similar symptoms about 25 years ago. Made me miserable for quite a while. Turned out to be an ulcer hidden in a fold at the top of my stomach...not obvious at first. A series of antibiotics fixed it...I guess!

Sorry you won't be able to make VSC. Maybe I'll get over your way later this year for one of the contests.

Really good to have you back Eric. I hope that doctor can pinpoint th cause and fix it so you will NEVER have to go through this again...
