Thanks Larry and Tom.

Note: IRKS dates are Nov 6 and 7, Friday and Sat. Larry, pls. update your post below, thx.  r....

We (IRKS) are still planning to allocate one circle to OTS models based on expressed interest.
Bring what you have, new or old.
We have cut in a new pit area for the North circle.
We will be asking for your opinion re. us conducting an OTS contest at the site in the future. Please think about it. H^^

There is an "EVENTS SECTION" below under "CONTEST CALENDAR AT A GLANCE" where this post might be a better fit
Yup, your right. I posted it here first to get a little better visibility to nail down stuff I may have missed. Most of the dates I listed came from latest AMA mag. The TBLF contest I didnt know about, and its only 6 weeks away.  Well, maybe its listed in the EVENTS section ... I'll check.  Thanks Greg!

News flash - We fought the law, and WE won! The C/L circle will be open on the Barnstorming for toys events. Entry fee to fly that day will be an un-wrapped, factory packed toy for underprivileged children. (so they can see what it is and give to the appropriate age/gender child I guess)

They WERE going to put one of those silly inflatable play houses that the kids jump around in on our circle, but pointed out the lack of electricity and a better place to put it... so anyone interested, come'on down.

Thanks
EricV

Well, isn't that great news!!  I was thinking also that there was another place to put that than the C/L circle.  All that effort to put in a cement runaway, just to cover it up. :-)  My mother-in-law will be in town that weekend ... you've now given me a reason to escape!!  Thank you!!

Eric - Theres a question for you over in the EVENTS section .....  Re; TBLF contest

See ya then, FlySafe!  Larry

Eric,

Wondering if they are gonna put the silly house where the RV hookups are 'cause some of us(3) from Lake Wales are planning to use RV parking that weekend.

For all you racing fans the Starke contest draws the best in the U.S.
for FAI F2C with some really good racing to be had for two days.

m) During the refuelling and the restart of the motor, and until the time when he releases the model aircraft, the mechanic must keep the model aircraft in contact with the ground by at least one point and with the centre line outside the flight circle. During that time the pilot must be crouching or sitting inside the centre circle. He keeps one hand on the ground and his handle and his lines as close to the ground as defined by the F2C panel of judges until the model aircraft starts again.

Phil - They are supposed to have RV hookups available, regardless of where the bubble house goes...

See link for Barnstorming for Toys (BFT) event and for our Nov Stunt contest:

See here for specifics on pilots entrty & RV hookup, etc. for BFT event:
