uniflow mods

Hi Guys,

I have a metal Brodak 4.5 ounce profile UNIFLOW tank. It looks like the old perfect tanks.
I'm moving the overflow tube further outboard, to mount the tank on a banshee with 3/8 balsa tripplers.

I was wondering if I can completely forget about putting one in?
The fuel intake tube is at the top very close to the uniflow tube.

Would it make a difference in the engine run if only the engine tube and the uniflow tube are present?

That would mean I would have the fuel overflowing from venturi...

You can do it but you will have to stand the model on it's nose to fill the tank. If the uniflow tube is too close to the feed tube you will also have a problem with the fuel coming out of the feed tube while filling.

Doesn't matter where your vent exits the tank just so it ends up on the top inside front corner inside the tank.

Doesn't the tank already have a vent tube near the front inside corner? On the profile you could just run a short lenght of fuel tubing during filling to keep the raw fuel from getting on the fuse, fill through the Uniflow line with the nose pointed up and out, cap the vent when done. I do this for all my ships.
