« on: March 17, 2015, 02:03:42 PM »
Hi All
Could someone please assist me in identifying this model in the attached photo?
I bought it a while back from someone else, but have no idea what it is.

It looks like it might be a modified Banshee, just a guess

Yup, I woulda guessed the exact same thing. It's almost for sure a Banshee wing.

Hey, it's better than "almost maybe" isn't it?

Wing chord looks a bit narrow for a Banshee.  The Banshee had an overall chord (flaps and ribs) of around 10 1/2 or 10 1/4 (if someone has one maybe they could measure?), for a fairly low aspect ratio.  So unless the wingspan is significantly stretched -- I dunno.

The problem with electric is that once you get the smoke generator and sound system installed, the plane is too heavy.

A Banshee with an extra rib bay or two?  (And a modified tail)

Banshee doesn't have a tapered wing or a swept leading edge, which this model APPEARS to have.  My guess is someone's TLAR
