Title: uni knot
Post by: Bootlegger on November 12, 2015, 01:25:19 PM

What are y'all doing to get the lines even when tying this knot? Do you wet the knot so that it will pull up tight?

Any help/suggestions that y'all can come up with will be greatly appreciated..

Practice is all I can say.   Also use the old EZ-Just handle.

As I hit the send button it occurred to me the fiber handle and line we used to get in 1/2A kits.    Thread the lint through the handle.  Tie loose ends to the plane.   Centered line similar to the EZ-Just.  Most events you are allowed 6 inches.

Yes, moisten the knot before trying to take it fully tight.

Tie one end of both lines, then stretch them out, measure and mark them with a sharpie.  Include the mark in the knot.  With a little care it is reasonably easy.
