Hi guys,
I'm flying out to Oklahoma tomorrow and will be there for an indeterminate time. My mom is in the hospital and it doesn't look good. Kidney failure and several other problems. She probably isn't going to make it. My brother is on his way now and my cousins are already there.
Man, I just don't know what my Dad is going to do. Remember us in your prayers.

Thanks so much for the thoughts guys. I got back in last night late. My mom passed on Monday. We had the service yesterday. Nice to see their entire church turn out. Dad's having a tough go of it, but I think we've got him convinced to look at moving down with my brother south of Tucson. The weather will be good for him.
God Bless

Randy, my friend, I'm so sorry to hear about your mother. Our mothers gave the gift of life
itself, and they continue to think of us as their children all their life. I lost my mother in 2005,
and I continue to think of her almost daily, as I know you will about yours. God bless her and
your entire family.
Take good care of your father in this time of grief and loss.
My greatest sympathies and best regards,
L.

Randy, sorry for your loss. I think you're right about getting you Dad to the Tucson area. You can go visit him frequently. Definitely in March.
-
Hi Randy,
I am truly sorry to hear that your Mom passed away. I hope your Dad has plenty of support right now. I know it is tough on everyone, but when a couple has been married for a long time and the husband loses his wife, it is really tough.
I know you will remember all the joys your Mother brought to you. You will continue to be in our prayers.

Thanks guys.
One thing I can say. When we were getting ready for the funeral, I found a picture of my mom and dad at their wedding reception in 1952. My dad looks like he just hit the lotto. And my mom, man, she was a hottie. No wonder he's smiling. Nice to remember them that way. That's the image I try to keep in my mind. As my dad said to me, getting old is not for the faint of heart.
Thanks for letting me ramble. Seems to help.

I know this pain well. I am truly saddened for you loss. God Bless and keep the faith.

Randy,
Sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. Hope she didn't suffer very long. You know she has gone to a better world. Teena and I were lucky to visit her uncles and aunts when we were in Oklahoma looking for property in September. Since then she has lost 1 aunt and 1 uncle and the other probably isn't far behind.
All were in their 90's. Your dad will need all the support you can give him. Best of luck and you are in our prayers.

Thanks again,
Ya know, in the end, I hope I go out that way. She had some problems, but when if finally happened, it was 3 days in the hospital and adios. Better than lingering, I suppose. Though deal, though. I'm just feeling tired.
-
Randy,
I've been offline for three days and just now saw this. My condolences for your loss. I've lost both my parents now and while I miss Dad, it seems as though losing Mom was a lot tougher for whatever reason. It's never easy to lose anyone, no matter if a release of suffering is involved and I'll pray for you, your family, and especially your Dad.
God's best, my friend,
Will
