U-key 35

I saw my first u-key 35 with a Fox 35 fly at the KOI last weekend. It flew very well in Profile Stunt. I know it was a popular beginner's & sport flying plane on the West Coast. Recently they have been built in a secret & undisclosed location on the East Coast. Talking with Tom Dixon, he said he knows the craftsman, & that he will now carry them as part of his line of kits.

The U-Key 35 started out as a take off of my SC-2 design in the May 1982 issue of Flying Models. Joe Just I believe. The plug-in wing and a bass fuselage made it very tough but very flyable.  Won quite a few matches with it before Slow Combat went hi-tech.  The original U-Key mounted the wing on dowels through the fuselage.  The wings tended to fall off in any kind of a crash.
The wing is the G-400 wing, about 432 squares full, 48in span, with a moderate taper.
