Title: U-Key 35

Anyone know if the U-Key 35 is still being sold?

We have a new guy that is wanting one. I did a search a few months ago for the contact info on the person that is selling them and sent it to my buddy. He has called and left a message, sent emails and nothing. No response. I know someone said the guy selling them is slow, but it has been a month or so.
Or if someone has one they are willing to part with let me know and I will pass it along.

Another good choice would be John Lowry's Wingmaster. Builds quick and straight, all Laser-cut, and flies pretty well. About $45. John also offers a Stuka - - about the same size  but $5 more because the deeper fuselage requires wider wood.

Oh yea, I know what that is.... And thanks Elwyn for posting a picture of Joe's. <=  Not sure they can take a ground beating.


Our new guy is still trying to keep it going round and round without smacking the ground. He is also trying to teach his son. They are looking for a U-Key that they can pound the ground with. n~

This is just a little more work, but I think it flies even better.

A doscile motor and a little nose heavy and it is real easy to fly.   
The nose is real stiff, it uses an RC engine mount so a fox will work well.  I had one for a long time.

you may try to get ahold of Dee Rice, he Pat and another gentlemen have been working a series of profile "fighters" that started with his ringmaster +P.
Its a solid foam wing, very durable, very easy to repair and it flies exceptionally well.
Not to mention the look worlds better than a Ukey, though I own a Ukey and it is a great learning tool.

j & J hobbies made the u key . they are now clc . I didn't see anything there. the core house sells tons of foam gotchas the same maybe better .

The J&J Hobbies that made the U-key was Joe Just I believe, not the current CLC. Jim Pearson of Marietta Ga. is the one that does them now.  ModelWings@aol.com

J & J Hobbies and J & J Sales afre two different places.  J & J Sales was the originator of the Ukey series.  J & J Sales is now making a Carrier Tainer in two sizes for those that might wish to try carrier or three ine flying. They also make a new economical 3-line  handle and bellcrank which is included in their trainer ARF/C kits.See attachment.
From what I have heard, Jim Pearson is still making the Ukey series, but has his hands full with personal business requirements. I have been told that he will answer inquires when he can.

  If you can't hook up with the ukey 35, try the Stunt Stick from Mike Ogren. This is what I was flying when I first met you. It is rugged and simple to build. This is his site.

Please also consider Phil Cartier's Gotcha series.   The Gotcha slow should be very similar to the Ukey.  I have a Ukey 15,  3 gotcha pluggers, & a Gotcha Streak III.     About 3 dozen yard darts only did minor damage to my Gotcha.  I had to pull the bellcrank out of its mount & have it FF from the top of the circle to do major damage.

                             
The full name : GOTCHA Super Slow Plugger FM Plan # 974 Phil Cartier design in NOV '94

The idea is that a Gotcha 460 wing plugs into a basswood fuselage. The tail is also a quick plug in. If you have worked hard enough to bust up the wing a new one can be quickly plugged in & go fly again. Same with the stab. Designed as a combat or sport trainer. Phils Gotcha SX slow uses the same plug in idea.
