Due to limited time, I decided to turn my existing Twister into a Twistang rather than build another one... It flies very well.

Very nice! By using just a little imagination you have quite a nice looking plane that no doubt will fly as good as a Twister.

Good job, Warren....that looks sharp. Glad to see that you are using ball links....that's a good habit to get into.
Questions:
1) What engine are you using? I'm guessing a Saito 30 maybe?
2) What did your total weight turn out to be with that engine?
Suggestion....I would encourage you to get a good quality fuel filter in that pickup line, even though it would take a little creative plumbing. Fuel suction is good enough that you can make a 180 degree loop, if necessary. Moving the tank backwards slightly would help to give you some more room. It could save you an airplane.
I like your "Twister" lettering.

Funny thing about the Twister, great candidate to bash. I've built two Twisters, both were reconfigured cosmetically. My most recent Twister has half ribs, wing tips and a long nose profile. (Canopy cut way down and moved back.) A friend is drawing a Miss Los Angles for me using a Twister wing with a planked leading edge. This will be a full body. Almost all the kit bashed Twisters I've seen fly well. Before ARFs, there was the TWISTER.

Some stats... The engine is a Saito 30 four stroke. The Tank is a 3oz Hayes Clunk tank. Wing covering is Flouro Yellow Solarfilm. Twister lettering was copied from the game box and enlarged and made by my sticker guy. The fuselage is painted with metalic plum Lustrecote.
I fly it on 55' lines. Prop is a 10x6 Nylon Tornado, and the throttle is adjustable but usually set at about 7/8's full. The flying weight is 41 oz with a full tank of fuel. Fuel is 10% Nitro, 20% Synthetic Oil & 70% Methanol. I use a filter on my fuel pump so I'm not that worried about not having one on the model itself.
I flew this plane into 9th place in F2B Advanced at the 2006 Australian Nats. Which was my first ever control line competition entry.

I knew a guy that used to fly R/C off of Daytona Beach, FL. The metal bits on the model looked horrible due to corrosion after some time and not cleaning after each flying session.
