Wasn't there someone on this forum (Bob Hunt I think) that was building a twin electric? ??? Any one remember? ??? i would love to see some photos #^ #^ I've been thinking of building a twin, just not electric since the only thing i know about electric is that it can sometimes be a bit shocking! lol

1. Please see page 3 of this Open Forum section for Frank's beautiful LA Heat. He has lots of info. and pictures there.
2. Go to Eric's RSM web site to order the excellent kit that Frank used:

3. Yes, it was Bob Hunt that is building a very nice, sleek looking E-Twin. My guess is that the "Bob and Dean" team has many projects going on at once and the E-Twin is just one of them. We all look forward to seeing it when it is done. I have no idea how they get so much done in modeling (CL + RC) AND still work for a living? n~ ..... I'm retired and it takes me a month to finish an ARC. HB~>
4. Another great twin is the one designed and built by our PAMPA E-Editor Will Moore. It is an electric twin bomber with round engine nacelles. It has a 62" WS and 770 sq. in. It is a fantastic flying machine. Will, an expert class pilot, says it flys better than any CL plane he has flown. It's motors turn 12x6 props, and they are counter-rotating. I hope Will publishes an article on his awesome twin in one of the mags.
If you are interested in building a twin, you will like the LA Heat. Eric's RSM kits are a pleasure to build. They are complete, have excellent wood, are laser cut, and are well designed.
Good luck with your twin adventure. :-)

Hi Rudy,
Sir Robin of Hunt has one of the prettiest, and well laid out, shops I have ever seen! His "day job" IS basically "model airplanes"! How lucky can a guy get??
;D

Funny that this should come up. I was wondering the same thing a couple of days ago and emailed Sir Robin of Hunt to find out what the status of his electric twin project was. Bob replied back and said it is on hold while he gets a new business up and running . I am sure Bob will update us as soon as the project gets moving again.

Walt Brownell has an electric twin that flies very well. He won Expert with it at St Louis last fall. I think, but am not sure, that he flew it at the Nats this year.

Walt flew his twin in advanced at this years Nats. He made top 20 for the first time. It seemed to be working well for him.

Hobby-Lobby sells some very nice R/C ducted fan jets. has any one other than me ever thought of buying one and taking out the controls, engine, e.s.c and so on and putting then in a C/L plane? I think of some pretty crazy designs sometimes. n~ **)
