Title: TVO
Post by: rustler on October 28, 2010, 04:13:11 PM
Seeing the thread on nitro prompts me to post this. I have had a similar post on the Brit forum, with interesting comments. Thought I'd see what the Yanks have to say.
Tractor Vapourising Oil. Some years ago the Russkies were reported as using this instead of parafin/(kero?) in their diesel F.A.I. T/R fuel.
Any comments on what it is and how it goes?

Keep that stuff away from my tractor!  If it vaporizes I won't be able to mow!

It sounds like some low grade gasoline, but that doesn't make sense for model diesel fuel.

Here is a reference, but I can't read it.  It's in British English.  http://www.fofh.co.uk/tech/tvo.htm  I think I'd eschew the scones.
