Turning Banshee into “P-40B(anshee)”
« on: February 24, 2023, 03:35:21 PM »
So, I got stung by a bee when I was flying My Banshee a few weeks ago.
I was actually doing the lazy 8 peacefully, and then it happened. It didn’t end well.

I crashed it. The fuselage was split into 2 parts.

I did some repair and glued the fuselage back together.
Then, I decided to strip down the Monokote and had the idea to recover it with a new color scheme.

And since I’ve been wanting to have the P-40, so I tried to cover it like one of them.
Here’s what it looks, the P-40B(anshee)  LL~ LL~ LL~

That really looks cool.  Your covering skills have really improved.  I can tell from the pile of monokote on the floor that you have not been introduced to the "take it off the same way you put it on" method.  I crashed Trifecta last month.  Minor damage but I had to recover the fuselage and stab area.  It was monokoted.  From Pix1 of the crash to a naked tail - 15 min.  Use a heat gun.  It comes off instantly.  I had been doing it the hard way for 20 years before someone showed me.

I see the Cardinal hanging in the shop.  Have you flown it yet?

Really like the camo pattern, and the taut wingtip covering looks great!

I like the shop. Neat as a pin everywhere! Much like mine, except I don't see any fishing tackle.  LL~ Steve
