I bought a couple of their windsocks a few months ago.  They were on back order at the time, but once shipped, they were delivered quickly.  I ordered on line and they accept all major credit cards.

The website is impressive.  They have tons of merchandise, although most is RC.  As a matter of fact, I received their catalog today in the mail.  That is where I saw the props.  The catalog had page after page of electric motors and batteries and is similar to the Tower Hobbies Catalog.  I wouldn't hesitate to order from them again.  I am going to buy some props in the next few days.

Paypal is how I've bought from them many times.

They have always shipped when they stated, and was good product!

Just my 2 cents

Has anyone tried the props? They look nice but the trailing edges look thick like Zingers.

You just open an account like buying from most places on line.  It was easy.

If you click the button that says PROPELLERS, you can see the many brands and types they carry.  The Turnigy props are available in various woods, if you didn't want cherry.  The price is what caught my eye.

I have not used any of their props in CL applications at this point. I have used a knockoff of an apc electric in cl size but on rc plane. It has lots of flex, very soft compared to apc model. It performed ok but its in a sport plane so no critical evaluation for you.

I have used their wood prop on an electric rc pattern plane in 18X10 size. Worked well. Still have it on the bird.

I tried one a couple of years ago on a Fox 35 in my Chipmunk. I usually used an 11x5 Revup, cut down from a 12x5
Motor was not happy so i went back to the Revup.

They are sort of thick, more of a prop kit than a ready to use prop.

I've ordered Zippy batts, chargers and assorted do dads from Hobbyking. Just sign up and go. I've never had a problem.

No problems in about a dozen transactions. Their CA is very good quality and very, very cheap c/w a hobbystore.

A word of warning though. They deal through Hong Kong so only use Paypal, never ever a credit card!

I have ordered way too much stuff from HK b1

A few things to remember:

-Never combine back-ordered items and those in stock in one order.
The paypal transaction goes through immediately, but they will hold the whole thing up til the back-ordered items all come in.

Best thing is to not order back order items at all, use their "new stock notification" feature instead.

- Order well ahead of when you need something. Their order packing process can drag out at times.
I suspect "in stock" might not actually mean "on the shelf and ready to pack in a box and be sent out".
Based on delays with some orders it might actually mean "on its way from the supplier"  :o

- Customer service is iffy, so don't expect to be able to get a refund/exchange for the 10x6 they sent you instead of the 10x5 you ordered.

I don't think they have ever made a mistake on my orders, but I have had a couple of small items arrived damaged. I just ordered them again.

Just wondering what you guys are paying for shipping?  I just got quoted $60 to ship 6/ 5S batt (12oz ea). and with 5/batt (under 2000g limit)  Air-mail service is available for $30. its better..  but still pricey.

Joe,

They have warehouses all over the world including the USA.  The shipping costs, and time will depend on where the merchandise is coming from.  When doing searches on their site for an item, look for the US flag under the item.  This indicates it's in stock in the USA warehouse, (Indiana IIRC).  Click on the flag, and then you'll be able to see how many are in stock, and order from THAT warehouse.  You have to be carefull.  The item is usually stocked in multiple warehouses, and you can get dinged with high shipping costs, and time unnecessarily.   I've had nothing but very good service from them BTW.

I purchased a set of Warbird wheels for a Corsair I've lost interest in.  n~

Took a while to get them because they came from China. The wheels were lighter and of better quality than Robarts. That was a shocker!

Thing is, now I get advertising from them frequently.

I would have no hesitation to purchase from them again.

I purchased a few props from HK just to check them out. They look
great. Some of them do seem a bit heavy and thick, though. I haven't
had a chance to try them out, will do,so in the Spring.

I have ordered several other items from HK and had no problems at all.
I paid with PayPal and the shipping was reasonable.

Later, Steve

Thanks Gonzo.  The best rate I got so far is around $30 from the US warehouse by UPS, which is the worst service to use.  as I'll have to go to custom to clear it myself.. or get charge another $30-40+ for brokerage fees. It seems there are just no cheaper ways other then shipping it to an US address like The Letter Carrier in Point Roberts, and go pick it up there.
