Tupynike Jr (19_25) - by Sérgio A Daeuble - Plans and video
« on: November 19, 2011, 01:38:19 PM »
Hi Commanders.
Here we are again bringing to the group a excellent smaller size stunter (19_25), designed, tested and developed by Sérgio Alberto Daeuble. The idea for the Tupynike Jr started some years ago when the late son from Sérgio showed the desire to learn to fly CL. A this time Sérgio had a CB 25 engine (an excellent brazillian made engine) and decided to build a smaller stunter towards the CB 25. The plans set from the model is here in two sheets. The plane sports a wingspan of 39 3/4" and a wing area of 316 square inches. The advantage of the smaller engine is the fuel economy since the 25 burns lot less fuel than a 51, and making the same Fun!
The plane is a very capable stunter and the two samples that I saw flying were very nice fliers. The first was powered as stated by the CB 25 and the second one by a OS 25 LA-S (another excellent engine). So right now Im attaching the plans set for the group and hope that you like them as we do.
Sérgio is also a very nice guy, and his email is: daeuble@ig.com.br
If someone liked the project or wants to make some coments please drop him a line at the above email account.
Nice and safe flying to All.
Carlo

This is the pic from the prototype. The pic above shows the model built by Alexandre Ueno and later sold to Renato Uliano.

Nice model and very well drawn plan but isn't 316 sq in a bit small for a 25?

The Shoestring is 42" span and 395 sq in and an FP 20 is more than adequate.

Hi Geoff, thanks by your nice comments. The plane flies very well. I had the opportunity to fly this plane several times and I can say to you that flies very nicely. The wing is flapped, so I cannot say to you if the flaps area are counted in the total wing area.
I guess that Sérgio upload a video from the Tupynike Jr in YT. I will check, and if I find one I will post the link.
All the best
Carlo

Hi, talking with Sérgio today, he told me that he posted a video in YT about the Tupynike Jr. The Video shows some details from the model during its construction and some flying action. Here is the link
