I hope everybody pays attention to this P-40. It is NOT a P.40. It is therefore NOT eligible to enter the P.40 event, or the Profile Stunt event, for that matter. Punctuation makes a difference!

Nice plane, please tell us more about it!  H^^ Steve

The pilot looks like one of the South Park kids. The Wife say's its Butters with leather helmet.

Not sure what O.S. engine designation is, looks like a miniature S.30/.35 like in the pic. Originally R/C
in .20 and .25 size. Have heard they give a good Stunt run.

The molded Fuselage and 1/2 of the ribs came from old Top Flight P-40 Kit. Hand cut the missing ribs.
Stab/Elv area increased and flaps added with some of Rileys contest balsa.
Paint is rattle can primer with clear flat Sig dope. Finish weighs less than an ounce!
Entire Airplane except front end covered with Phil's SLC.
If it flys decent may add exhaust and other details.

The swept forward flap hing line is an experiment to see what sort of problems will show up before building
a big twin with swept forward flap hing line. I can see a possible rolling problem with strong cross wind.

Jim, Not able to make Clanton. Energy level just ain't back up enough.
Do plan to make one day each to B.R. and Arkansas, both are easy drives for me.
Clanton in 2013!!!!

Ty, I have one flight in since Arkansas last year so you stand a chance!! H^^
Guess I will need to fine tune the Auto Pilot on the Big Yellow Thing. LL~

P.S. It will not fit in my new Red toy for transport. There is room for a lunch box behind seats....

Is the assassination of the President high on your list? Your bumper sticker is really not very subtle. Do you do this for your other racist buddies? I am absolutely disgusted.

Racist? Not quite sure why you're playing the race card here, Chris. Obviously we shouldn't condone action such as Oswald is guilty of, but I sure don't see anything on that sticker that refers to offing someone because of their race. It might not be the most subtle way of saying you're dissatisfied with the current administration, though.

Some people are too thinned skinned.  I look at the cars and the planes.  You don't want my opinion of what is going on in La La Land.

One day I hope to launch the Apollo 11/Saturn V. Built for D,E, or F engines with changeable motor mounts.

The 20 year old bumper sticker belonged to a deceased family member.  Regan's fault?

If it makes it easier to look at the P-40 I can try to modify the picture?

Wonder how the added flaps will effect the balance location on the P-40?

I never even noticed the bumper sticker until it was pointed out. I was looking at the plane. Think I will continue to do just that. On the other hand I see nothing racist about the sticker. Nice looking  plane!

If I ever get around to getting my 1/70 Saturn 1B or Estes Saturn V built, I intend to fly them at Muncie, over on the grass where Banjock flies his freeflight stuff.  Lots of nice grass for soft landings!

Aaron was into the smaller Estes rockets for a while when he was in HS.  We figured it would be fine to fly on my baseball field.  Things went fine for a while then the wind caught one.  It found the only overhead wires at the field!  That rocket and its chute was up there for a long time!

   Chris,
David is a close friend of mine, (Buddie), and you are mistaken in referring to his buddies as racist, or even David himself. In addition, He has many friends in DVIII who deeply respect him, and they certainly are not racist either. Most of David's buddies are real Christians who love the Lord and strongly dislike race discrimination and hatred. Myself, I did not notice the sticker. In my opinion, you should have sent him a private e-mail to express your displeasure.
         Sincerely,
                      Doug

I bought the Estes re-release of th Saturn V, wish I had bought 2. I plan to get it done in time for the 50th Anniversary in 2019, and hopefully launch it at the Kennedy Space Center.  Hope it lasts through the test flight prior to the Annv. Launch.
