Springfield Fun Fly
« on: October 16, 2010, 04:22:56 PM »
I want to thank everyone who came to the fun fly today in Springfield.  We had great weather, give the Lord thank for that.  Temperatures where comfortable and the wind wasn't too bad. We had a very good turnout, fliers from Tulsa, K.C. area, Neosho/Joplin, and a guy from southern Illinois who had some good insights #^(thank you Allen).  A big thanks to Terry Bolin for bringing a BBG grill with hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, and sodas/water.  Last but not least, thanks to my bride for her help.

I'll post some pictures when I get some time.  I think the coolest plane was Darwins Rabe Mustang, very impressive site in the air and on the ground.

James,

Glad you had a good time and turnout.  Today is the last day of my current job, I start a new job on Monday, and I will now have weekends available.  I hope to attend the next Fun Fly for sure.

Was glad that the demented poodle Sandy and I made it.  We just got home and down loaded what few pics I took, had taken.  Don't know everybodys name.  So I hope someone will chip in and tell us.

Thanks Zuriel, look forward to seeing you next time.  Maybe around May, we'll have to wait and see how things are going (weather, schedules and all that).

My thanks to James and Allen for their effort in putting on the Springfield Fly-in, it was a good event . Glad to meet all that were there and will try to remember the names. Am looking forward to more fun in the future events.
Am going to try to add a picture of one of the flights of the day in preparation, it is indeed a fine ship.........
