I built another Tucker 4 after flying the first one and the second is just as much fun as the first.  Still have an OS-35 Max S in it with a XOAR 10x6 wood 2 blade propeller. It weighs 52 oz.  I believe the Tucker 4 to be the epitome in Classic Era stunt ships.

Tom,
Great looking ship. How is it different from the Tucker Special? You mentioned the Tucker 5, what changed from the 4?

Best,   DennisT

The Tucker special is a D tube with conventional construction. The Tucker 4 has a highly tapered I-beam with severe forward swept flaps.

There is no Tucker 5.

The original Tucker 4 is hangjng in my shop.  I restored it in 2006 and drew the plans for it for Stunt News.

Alan,

Thanks for the superb effort to bring this classic I-beam back from the past and to reverse engineer the plans which were published in Stunt New during my tenure as editor.  It is really a outstanding example of that time and a reminder of Bob Tucker and Gary Zeller and their 2 year domination of stunt in the St Louis area.
