This is confusing. I have been posting pictures successfully by reducing the images down to one K, but tonight that isn't working. I've even reduced one to less than one K, still get an error that the file is too large. Any suggestions/

Software update?
If the "1K" that you refer to is the image width, and if you're saving to JPEG format, your image quality setting may have changed. JPEG files can be saved at a number of different quality levels, with lots of compressing giving you a small file containing an ugly picture and no compressing giving you a huge file containing a pretty picture.
The most you can attach to any one post is 1000KB, which is the size of the file, not necessarily the size of the picture in pixels.

I thought I would give it a try today to see if there has been any changes. Here's my latest plane.

Well, I figured as much, but I've done everything the same way as the pictures already posted so thought I should check. Now to re-do it all from scratch and try again. Tomorrow, though, 'cause it's gettin' late!

Okay, they are now posted, thanks to Charles and Tim. Charles took my jpegs and scaled them down and sent them back with the numbers he suggested I use.
So, I went back into GIMP and resized them that way and it worked. I must have accidentally gotten the
scale-down right on the previous pics I posted.
My new camera is just too blamed good, I guess.
Thanks again, Charles and Tim.
