Title: trainer
Post by: Ed Carlaw on August 01, 2011, 07:56:01 PM
Hello to all, I'm looking for plans of a trainer called the Goat. I don't recall the designers name but I know it was in the January 1949 Air Trails magazine. I haven't been able to acquire a copy of this issue. Any suggestions? Thanks, Ed.

Hi Wynn, I went back through my notes and I found that I quoted the wrong issue of Air Trails. It was actually in the November 1948 issue. Sorry for the mixup. Is the picture you show a modern re-engined version?

What are the chances that Flying Models has a set of plans-probably the odds aren't in my favor.

The picture you show of the plane, is there also a scaled down plan drawing?

First one published in the 90's showing a Tee Dee for power.   The second one in 54 with what looks like an O&R.   Have you checked the AMA Plans site.   They have all the plans that John Pond owned at one time.   H^^

Hey John, checked the AMA website but it doesn't list this plan. Wynn was gracious enough to email me a copy of the article and plans that came with the article. The only question I posed to Wynn and I'll do the same here is what would be today's equivalent to the O&R .23?
