I'd think a lot of those guests are members that just didn't login, because they didn't see anything they wanted to comment on? Then too, some guests might not realize that "free" is really free here. Oh, donations are welcome, but you don't get any spam asking that you buy the "gold membership".  

One question I'd like to ask, is what's the $ amount it takes to keep this ship afloat for a year, if that's not too personal. Knowing that might improve the level of donations.   Steve

Some of those "guests" aren't direct visits from people. They're bots from places like Google, Yahoo, and the like.

Meaning, for example, if someone Googles "control line" and Stunt Hanger comes up as a result, the site will register that hit as a "guest".

Only if they click on the site address.   If only the people that are registered donated a couple of dollars, it probably would make a big difference.
