What size tank for an LA-25?  I need to make one for it.

I would recommend 3-3.25 ounces. It uses substantially more fuel than a 20FP, and I use a Sullivan SS-4 fuel tank (about 3.5-3.6 ounces capacity) and its full up to about 1/2" from the top.

Obviously it's a lot easier to take fuel out of a tank that it too big than it is to try to put more in one that is too small. Or rather, you would think it was obvious. You would be surprised.

I had an LA.25 on a Primary Force and used a 4 ounce tank. I used any where from 3 1/4 to 3 3/4 ounces of fuel depending on time of year and used an APC 10-4  spinning about 10,100 to 10,500 at take off. My son used an LA.25 for a Frisky Pete OTS model and I made him a custom tank to fit the compartment on that model and I think it went about 3 3/4 to 3 7/8 ounces. It was big enough that he could short tank it for official flights. very similar number for the FP-.25s that I have used.

I got her in primer today.
So I'll put her away for a couple of weeks and let the primer shrink up.

Larry you just started too late, One of the first CL airplanes I had was a Peacemaker rescued from the trash can at Flushing Meadows back in 69. It was broke but very fixable.

Here's a 2016 pic of the Hayes' Polk City pair...

I couldn't resist bringing those home as the asking price wasn't much more than the value of the engines, Wayne.  And I love the aesthetics ...

I can only echo what's been said several times here, your workmanship is fantastic Larry!  Please post more photos when it's completed.
