I was thinking about getting one of the ARF Flitestreaks. Do you need to go into the wing and change out bellcrank , lead outs etc/ I know that I have seen on this site that most people do this with the ARF Nobler. Going to power with a LA.25 Thanks in advance for ant help provided.

I never did in mine and it's over 4 years old. The LA 25 is a good choice for this plane that's what I have. A word of caution, the CG that the ARF instructions give is INCORRECT. My Brodak kit instructions say 1" back of the leading edge and slightly nose heavy. I just checked Dirty Dans set up and his recommended CG was 1 and 5/8" back of the leading edge.

A buddy of mine is using the stock Top Flite Flite Streak with an OS LA 25 to teach his two 8 and 10 yo sons the pattern and they have about 50 flights on it by this week. No problems so far. The tank was replaced with a metal clunk tank and the needle replaced with an ST unit into the venturi, that's it for changes. The cg was never checked, I don't think. It's a little nose heavy the way it comes out with the 25, by the way it flew.

I picked up the ARF Streak today. Pretty happy with contents of box. They do a nice job on this ARF. As I said I am going to run OS 25LA. Replaced back plate, venturi and has an OS spray bar assy. To me the enclosed fuel tank looks a little cheesy. I noticed that Chris replaced tank with metal clunk type tank. Is this an off the shelf product? Looking for some suggestions on other tanks.

A Hayes 3oz clunk (plastic) or whatever it's made out of, I have a Brodak metal 3oz on mine BH-596.

Tom, I love my Flite Streaks!! One is the stock ARF, with an FP 20 and a 2.5 oz uniflow tank, the nose has been repaired twice due to some hard landings as the nose is sorta hollow and does not take much to break off! I don't think the stock fuse has enough room for a hayes 3 oz. tank and still keep it in line with the needle valve. The other FS has a lengthened and strengthened fuselage with a .25 la and a hayes 3 oz. tank,muffler pressure and the stock tailfeathers and is my favorite plane to fly, light, plenty of power, plenty of run time and just plain flies well!! I believe there are threads on this forum about building a new fuse for the FS arf.

We've had a bunch of these run through our club. Just ditch the single leg landing gear and add a Sig Fazer profile gear or similar go have a blast. A tailwheel or skid to lift the tail up a bit is a good idea too. Be a little careful because the noses seem to be the weak point, and that's what usually goes when you smack one in hard enough. It's a really fun airplane and an O.S..25 is a perfect match.

One thing nice about the Arf FliteStreak is that it has a hatch on the bottom of the bellcrank, so it is relatively easy to get to it.
I left mine alone. I am flying it with a Fox 15BB engine and I thought the stock setup was ok with that power. If I were going to a Fox35, I would certainly change out the leadouts.
I fly mine time to time for fun--not a regular setup for me. But for the original price, I thought it was a good deal.
