I was walking through the sports betting part of the casino and saw the clpa nats...okay, no I didn't. But any takers on top five? Or, honestly, would that be too distracting?
Because if it wasn't too distracting, I'd say Walker, Hernandez, Fitzgerald, Cox, Colon. With Berry in 6th. That's one point for each correct top five, and one more point for each correct position.

Sad it's so predictable.

Is Bob Hunt going this year? I believe he barely missed out on the top 5 last year

Bob is out with back issues. Going in for some physical therapy to help out.

Candidates for the top 10, in no particular order and assuming they show up. (Four of these are past National Champions, three are past or present World Champions.)
Orestes Hernandez, David Fitzgerald, Brett Buck, Paul Walker, Howard Rush, Joe Gilbert, Derek Berry, Chris Cox, Bob McDonald, Frank McMillan.

Good list, but is that your finishing order? I would love to see Brett hit the top five again.

That is a good list. I think a lot of people are underestimating Matt Colon. Glad you included him.

I wouldn't underestimate him that's for sure. He is a good flier and can adapt to conditions instantly! He should have a good showing this year.

I think Joe Daly will be in there too.

Don't forget about the Moon bros.

Well, Paul had technical issues, and for the first time in a few years, Brett seems to have got everything right. Now I feel bad for not including him, though I know he's capable of it and always root for him. It looks like Howard is putting together a great year too. Wouldn't it be something to see him put his name on the Walker Cup! So, I got Colon, Fitzgerald, and Hernandez so far, only 3 of my top five. I did call Berry for 6th though. Now for the finishing order.

Congrats Keith, you got four of the top five correct. Hopefully Matthew Colon will make it to VSC soon, as he is the fifth man in the top five.

Appreciate the kind words, but you and anyone else could certainly be forgiven for counting me out, because I probably would have been right there with you until about 10:30 this morning. You haven't heard my story for this week, which is one short of getting hit by a meteorite. I also benefitted from the misfortune of several others, particularly Joe G. and Joe D., today.
But when Paul went out, everybody perked up because that left at least one "opportunity". I have finally gotten the 2020 airplane working pretty well (after having cut it up a few weeks ago and finishing reassembly the night before we left for Muncie) and am working up to at least decent flying shape. So I am going to give it my full effort and see what happens.
Don't put any money on it, however - these guys are pretty good!
