I just spoke to Gordan Delaney at the Nat's. He reports the top five, in no particular order, to be.
Walker, Fitz, Buck, Berry, and Hernandez, Congrats to all.

Grats to all but i gotta say GO Derek!
-
This is Derek with the plane he is using up in Muncie. This was taken at the June Charlotte contest after the deluge of rain.
Good luck Derek!
-
If Derek gets his game face on like I saw him do at the KOI this year in the fly off, he's going to do very very well.
Go get'em Derek!
Pappy Dale must have a painful permanent grin going right now...heh. y1
Can't wait to see the new ship fly in person.
He was still flying this one at the KOI, see Pappy pit crew here with plane:

Interesting! Orestes is from Miami. So much for west coast flyers.

Don't go there..................

I watched all 3 rounds of the flyoff, and I agree with the finishing order.
To me, it was very close between Orestes and Derek. Orestes seemed to
be just a tad smoother, and ended up winning by just 3 points. Although, a
victory by Derek probably wouldn't get any argument; it was that close
between the two. Overall, I think the judges did a great job.
It was also great to see guys such as Windy U., Bob Brookins, Mike McHenry
and Doug Taffinder volunteer to judge Advanced on Top 20 Day to insure
that we had enough judges to keep the contest moving right along. Top 20
day turned out to be the best weather wise with calm winds all day and
mild temps. Although, the bright sun was a bear to deal with and it really
gave the judges fits.
