Took a day of vacation and went flying.

Hooked up with Larry Renger at the local flying field and it seemed nothing was going to go well for me.  My  rock solid Brodak B-40 on the Profile Nobler was acting wierd.  Going rich, then lean nothing made sense.  I notice on one flight some vibration in the handle and decided to check the engine mounting bolts.  Sure enough all four were loose, I have had this problem before it leads to foaming and all sorts of wierdness.  When we started to motor for the next flight Larry noticed the muffler rear cap was spinning around.  This was the first time I flew the Nobler since I removed the tongue muffler and installed the stock Brodak muffler.  Needless to say I stopped the motor and tighened the muffler main screw that runs the length of the muffler.  With everything tighened up the motor ran flawlessly.  Once again I proved to myself that when the B-40 is not running right look at everything around it first before touching the motor. ;)

My Fox 29 was acting strange and I launched anyway.  Ran pretty ragged and then the muffler fell off.  You're right, check everything.  Doesn't just apply to Brodak stuff.
