Too many engines! Part 2
« on: January 24, 2018, 03:35:07 PM »
Just to bump things up a bit.
I have started a small listing of some of the stuff I'm selling off to raise money for the museum.
My eBay name is "clnut" and one of the listings is number 122921613000.
These are items I had around the house but I have not yet retrieved the crates of engines I have in storage at my brother's house.
I plan to list more items on Sunday and will try and do so every Sunday thereafter when possible.

I spoke to John last week. He's quite exited about the progress of the museum.
I will be spending the week of March 5th through 9th at the museum, setting up the engine display.
We have over 2000 engines so I'll be quite busy.
I will also be working there most of the week during the Fly-In.

Best to all!!

Bob Z.

Ebay has established the fair market price in the world market.  Special interest groups probably have their own idea of fair market value for the engines they use.
Tell that to the guy that has a Randy 46 VF for 900 bucks on the bay ;D

There is one thing I need to ask. Does John Brodak have a plan in place for Brodak inc. and the muesum after he has checked out. This needs to be discussed. If not, who knows what will happen to it all later. I have seen this happen too many times.

Hi, Garf - I wish I could answer that but ------- I haven't a clue.
At this point, I know of nobody who will take over the corporation or the museum.

Do we have any lawyers on here that could help John set up a foundation incorporating the museum?

Bob: would something like that work?

Some interesting stuff on today's auction starting at 6:00 PM EST.
A very nice early Merco 35, two OS four strokes, a brand new ST 51 and more.

This is important, because I for one would hate to see all that effort and money invested only to let it go down the toilet when John is no longer able to look after all of it. John is not a young man.

Click on the above link for the Merco and then click on save seller link.   Then you will get E-Mail notice every time Bob lists something. D>K

Just to update.
Starting Sunday at 6:00 PM, I will start another auction, featuring seven engines including a new Super Tiger 60 RC with the factory muffler and a free venturi for CL flyers.

If all goes as planned, I will try and list ten to twelve engines every week.

Mild rant   no aimed at any particular old fart like me

And I do admit some minor frustration early on in searching for THINGS

But today I would hope most enthusiast would be familiar with the curiosities of finding things on:
E-bay
RC Universe
RC Groups
Stunt Hanger
Stuka Stunt works... the pits
Using Google.... I hate all other search engines

Sig Mfg has probably the worst store front web site in the history of all commercial sites

Understanding why---- but I think Randy Smith, Ton Dixon, and Phil Cartier have horrid web sites also

They have so much more for sale that you can find to look at and figure prices

BUT I accept this ----and forgive them.... they are one man operations and I know how much time it takes just to keep a web site up to date

Fortunately with those mention above they are very good at telephone communications and super helpful with on hand items and alternative recommendations

I for one am so spoiled by internet instant search and info -----that I shudder to think about going back to the once a month magazine/catalog and snail mail ordering....

So come on you old farts...Bob Z ads on E-bay are real easy to find.... especial following the links  provided and the "SEE OTHER SELLERS ITEMS" links in every listing

Bob Z.  Seems like one of your "group" engine pictures might have shown a S.T. G-19 (sandcast .29 with twin exhaust)  Is that correct?
