Tom Morris control linkage hardware!
« on: December 18, 2012, 04:46:41 PM »

I admire those individuals that take the effort to do something correct the first time.

So, here's a recommendation if you need linkage hardware or custom linkage hardware.

Tom Morris!  H^^

Tom gets it right the first time.

From a simple drawing, or in my case, just a conversation over the phone.

The linkage hardware for The LOSER, Tom nailed it!

Same with my last order for custom linkage hardware for The International, Tom nailed it there also!

Thank you Tom Morris!

Charles

No surprise there.  Every product offered by Tom Morris is First Class -- in addition to his being a genuine First Class gentleman himself.  Tom is one of the "Good Guys".

Many of his products were sold through CLC.  They are top notch!  I am glad he is selling direct now.

Tom called me today and told me about this and then sent me this picture.  33 airplanes being built simultaneously.   Think the guy is good or what?

Posted somewhere is a video of Tom's "marginally adequate" work shop. Very well thought out and executed. The cabinets are made from maple that was the old gym floor at West Point, I think. How's THAT for recycling! He has dust collectors and vacuum ducts all over the place, including floor sweep ducts with flip cover plates over them, just sweep the mess that way right into the opening and GONE!. I don't think he has a dust pan! He's building 33 at a time and I can't get one finished!!! I wish I had some of his discipline!

Hi James:

That would be Stunt Flyer Video Magazine, Volume 2, No. 1. It's still available. Here is a listing of what else in on that particular program...

SFVM Volume 2, No. 1

Chances are that if you are even remotely interested in Stunt flying, you are also a member of PAMPA (Precision Aerobatics Model Pilots Association). If so, then you probably look forward impatiently to each issue of Stunt News - the official newsletter of PAMPA. Stunt News was edited and published by Tom Morris for many years, and under his guidance it became more of a magazine than a newsletter. In this issue of SFVM you will come along on a visit to Tom Morris’ beautiful home in Anniston, Alabama. Tom treats us to a look at his “marginally adequate” shop and shares some interesting take-apart airplane technology, his thoughts on spruce construction and some information on low pressure spraying.

This issue’s How-To feature is about building flat-plate type stabilizer and elevator assemblies. Bob Hunt shows us how to make accurate, light units, and even shares some ideas on a unique building board for assemblies of this type.

We’ll finish up with a visit to Randy Smith’s Aero Products company where all those great running Aero engines are built. Chances are if you fly much Stunt, then you have Aero Products parts in your planes!

Later - Bob Hunt
