I haven't had a need to replenish my "stuff" for sometime, however I've got a new project underway and found out I need a few things. Now...for what has probably been a reoccurring question. Who has Tom Morris control horns, linkages and stuff? Carbon fiber rods and ends?

You can email Tom Morris directly, or order via "Stunt Hangar Hobby". I'm not sure how the latter works, but basically, Sparky setup an online store for Tom. Beyond that, I don't understand how Tom gets the order, processes it, or ships it. So far, I've bought stuff direct from Tom. Last time I needed lines, I sent him an email & he sent me the lines. I had to beg for a billing, because there was none in the box! He sent the bill by email the next day, I think it was. ~> Steve

I've ordered through Stunt Hanger Hobby here on this forum and found it to work very well both in terms of finding out what I wanted to order and receiving the order in very short times.

when you order from Tom through http://www.stunthanger.com/hobby it costs you no more but it helps support Stunt Hangar as SH gets a small percentage of every order to keep us going.

Tom may disagree and that is OK cuz I don't pretend to know his level of business or how busy he is daily
From my perspective a "call" to these very busy cottage industries guys has a negative impact if it is simply a "I need X do you have it" question
Most of them have OK web sites and if I have a question or problem I leave a e-mail to their published "contact us" area and just be patient
IN every case I get a response in under 24 hours
Over the last few years I have supported MANY of these cottage guys and truly appreciate them even existing.
That said, each order has had some minor issue.... kit with missing bits... order not complete.... wrong item sent....NOTHING earth shattering or a real big deal--- and in every case I contacted the person and the story is almost always the same...
"My bad Fred, yes part XXX should have been in the package, OK no sweat sir can you send me one, Oh certainly, OK how much is the shipping...Oh no Fred, it was my mistake I got distracted I will send it right out.... In every case the poor cottage guy had to eat the extra expense of shipping me some trivial or non trivial part.
I felt bad about it because I always worry about effective communication and perhaps I bore some of the blame
Bottom line is ALL of these fellows are aging, and real busy, and NOT getting rich on this love of the hobby venture they embarked on...
So I suggest we all try hard to not bog them down and take away from their daily grind with e-mails or phone calls for information that can be found on the forums or on their web site
Several of these guys are just regular Joe's like me and love to chat on the phone, offer advice, and are great resources of good info.....BUT like most of the support people I call for things... I am ALWAYS cogent that there is another customer needing help, so I do try to not chat about the weather where I am or they are

I don't know Tom Morris but I like him.
When I ordered some wood from him, he called me, to ask how I wanted it cut and shipped.

I'd never met Tom but had bought his handles, lines, and a few other bits and pieces. I left messages regarding details a couple of times, in the manner Fred suggests above, and was once contacted by phone to confirm a detail.
One day in Huntersville, hanging out by the Profile pits, he approached me with hand extended and introduced himself, and I reciprocated. Somehow he knew who I was and went out of his way to chat and get to know me for a few minutes. I was somewhat flattered that one of the "Big Guys"(as we Intermediate guys refer to them) took the time to connect. Good business on his part for sure, but it was clearly genuine too. Since then, I've made it a point to shop his wares at SH Hobby first when ordering parts for a project.
I had a similar experience with Jim Lee the same weekend too. I made sure to buy something the next day... actually my wife did, for me. I think Jim probably liked her even more Lol. Seems there was a special deal involved, of which he denies any knowledge with a chuckle.

I still remembering meeting Tom Morris at the Lubbock TX NATS a few years ago. He came to me and introduced his self. I always try to make a purchase when ever he has his wares on display.
