Toledo Purchases
« on: April 08, 2017, 08:36:24 PM »
This is all I could find this year at Toledo. Prices on glow engines seemed pretty high this year. I never used a Hot Rock before and these were brand new so I'll give them a try.

Chris...I grew up using all kinds of cable handles and personally  I think they are fine, adjustable (easily)

BUT...I read and followed a lot of the Bias Handel threads and solid LIGHT weight threads... and decided to try a PA Randy Smith Hard point version with Hello Kitty Clips to set neutral

Trust me I am a hack flyer with no ever notion of even entering beginner contest....BUT ALL my Hot Rock Cable handles are now in a bin to be sold or trashed some day

I found that on .35 engine 28oz and larger planes, the Hard point handle has a LOT more hand feedback that I assume is dampened in the various cable handles

There is no reason to no like the easy to adjust cable handles... I just found that the one hard point I tried was A LOT better...for me

Side note

This year I am focusing More on flying  and to that end I plan to set up each of my 5 flyable planes with their OWN dedicated lines and Handles

I have a EZ Just handle and a Hard Point handle from Tom Morris.

Damn that's cranking! Buy my other ones  ;D
