Title: Today's view from District 7
Post by: frank carlisle on February 26, 2008, 08:47:11 AM
Here in Michigan it's easy for us to tell when to quit flying.
Here is photographic proof.

ALSO-----I haven't been as active over here as I have been in the past. I want you guys to know that SH is still my favorite forum and that I miss all the fun times I've had with you.
Currently I am involved in getting a District 7 AMA forum going and it's taken a lot of energy and posts and I've pretty much used up all my imagination. I don't want to waste your time rehashing stuff that has been posted elsewhere so my activity here has diminished. In the immortal words of Arnold Schwatzenneger---I'll be back. y1

Frank,
As long as you are feeling well, where you are is secondary. y1
And - We are glad to hear from you. #^Take care,
Roger

Frank,
We are glad you are up and about. You are missed here at SH. Please come back and stay awhile.

My two boys would have a blast in all that snow. I would only play in it a short while and then I would have to head for a hot tub and some hot coffee. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. LL~

Paul  H^^

PS- Are you going back to Brodaks this year?

Thanks for the good thoughts guys.
You bet I'm going back to Brodak this year.
The snow is beautiful when it first hits the ground. In a day or two it will be grey with slush and ruts. But today it's like living in a Hallmark Greeting card.

A beautiful scene if you don,t have it in your inviorment!
In Tenn. we are blessed with Ice storms and Tornadoes . I can show you some beautiful funnel cloud pictures.
As to your recent illness ; glad to hear you are Better: I talked with a nurse , in her forties , that had just
gotten over the same thing. They closed the county schools for a few days to help keep the spreading down.
She said it was hard on kids and really hard on older people, especially with any kind of breathing problems.
Dr. Pate recommends  model building as recovering theraphy.

howdy Frank, good to see you are alive here again. I like the snow pics, your backyard is even nicer with the snow on everything.

I hope you have already figured out to move your bed down to the model bench, or move the workbench up to your bedside. either way makes for a speedier recovery.

Remember that sanding every day keeps the doctor away  y1
see you soon

Greg

Hi Greg, good to hear from you. Are you settled into your house good and cozy? I've been editing our video of the trip we took to the AMA Museum. It'll be on youtube soon.

And Hi Wayne Willie!! Have you noticed that the fantastic paint scheme you gave me for the LA Heat has shown up in all of the model magazines? It was a hard to do paint job but --OH SO SWEET!

I'd have never thought that one up on my own. That paint scheme is all you. And it's the scheme that makes that plane. So....thank you.
