It is really greatr to know that the fellas of C/L stunt are such great guys. I have always known it, on an inner level, but I am more aware of it everyday.
We all can have our crosses to bear, but having friends makes the journey even easier. I have always tried to be upbeat (I was bigger than the rest of the "kids" usually, so I had to, or stay in fights! HAHAHA!) and I still do. It's sorta like the old Smokey Robinson song (IIRC), "The Tears of a Clown".
Things are going much better in the whole family, as I knew they would, and I am feeling more like enjoying the hobby now. It has been a pretty large part of my life since 1963! Even when I could not actively be involved, I read the magazines and tried to keep up a *little*. :D
May God richly Bless you all!

Good Mornin' Bill!
Sincerely glad to read your latest post.
You have done alot for our "hobby/sport" and I look forward to much more.
For those who dont know you, a little story!
Years back, Bill and I occasionally communicated, via the Inet, on modeling items, (what else?).
Never met him until we came face to face at the KOI, and later at Brodaks.
At first sight, we stood in the parking lot(s) and talked modeling for about an hour each time. It was like we had known each other all our lives. Great exchanges and his sincerity was obvious. Dialogue continued throughout the contest and Fly In whenever we crossed paths.
This is the kind of guy that keeps us going. When ever you see him at a contest, say "Hi", you will be pleasantly surprised at his congeniality.
Oh yeah, his son Aaron is definitely a chip off the old "block"!!!!!!!
Take care my friend, I will get up that way, unless you get to the KOI first!

We have never met Bill, but I do consider you a friend. When Andria and I move East after my retirement hopefully we will meet. I plan to be a regular at Brodak and any other flyin close by.

Hi Roger,
I see you got that "picture of Ulysses S. Grant" that I sent for you to post all these kind words! **)
I have always enjoyed our visits when we see each other at meets.
Andy, looking forward to *seeing* you!
I will be retired in a couple of years, and I really am trying to keep the health up so that I can get to all the contests that are available!

Bill,
The bumps in the road of life just make the smooth part feel all that much better. Glad to know things have improved for you and yours.
Any chance you'll be at Brodak's Fly In this year? Would be nice to be able to shake hands with you and swap a story or two.
Best regards,
Joe

Hi Joe,
Seems that Brodak's is out for this year. :( I have an obligation (and I want to go!) to be at the NATS, and that's the only "big" trip I will be able to make this Spring/Summer.
Hope to see you soon!

Hey Bill,
We all have tough times. I've been in and out of flying over the last 30 years. Usually because life (or lack of money) got in the way. Nice to have friends to ease the times when things just aren't going the direction you'd like.

Rock on Mr. Little, Rock on.

Hey Bill,
Glad that you and Gail are starting to smile again. They say that He will never give us more than we can handle, even if we wonder some time.
Remember that the tough times always make the good times better.

Hi Bill,
It is always very nice to put a "voice" with a name. :) The chat was nice.
Tom: Yes, it is true, He will never give us anything that we cannot handle. But, sometimes, we can begin to grow weary with a lot of things that build up. Each crisis makes us stronger, I believe.
Andy! Look forward to "seeing" you in the next few years.
To the "Esteemed Mr. Powell": Just think, if you'd have listened to me, that USA-1 would probably still be around! **) **) **) Thanks for the friendship from over 3000 miles away.
Most all you guys: I feel like I've known y'all from the "old 'Hood". Some of us have shared very similar life experiences which always leave an impression on us.
I have looked behind me in the sand and seen only one set of footprints where I have recently walked........ and realized they are not mine.
There is so much I want to say to all of you, but all I can say is "THANKS!"

Bill I had my share of fights when I was growing up but it was because I was small. I finnaly learned what to do about it and it didn't happen anymore. I took up Golf.
