The rattle snakes and cotton mouths are friendly enough, just shuffle your feet and you will be fine as that seems to scare them off.
Hey Steve, the last wild boar they bagged was only 300+ pounds, amazing how stories grow out of control. Rich, if you are overly concerned, just wear chaps and carry a .45 semi auto on your hip for quick easy access in case you get cornered by a big tusker. Oh, almost forgot about the fire ants, yeah, I'd wear some real shoes, no hippie sandals. If you are prone to anaphylaxis, better have an Epipen handy. That should about cover it.
