All three are now being ordered. I also have added an Electric page on my website www.stuntsupply.com.
Thanks

C'mon Mike - be the first to provide an Electric Full Fuse stunter......
-
Naughty Girl appeals to me....nice looking airplane.
-
I've flown the Thundercloud; excellent stunter! Well-built, looked "cool" in the pattern, which it flew thru with ease! Very capable, very nice to fly, very friendly.
-
I am working on it Wynn. Thanks Gene and Bill. PM sent.

Mike, I think that you need to give some basic specs on the designs, before people will decide they want to sign up or not. Wing area, power requirement, and maybe a rough idea of the price of the kit. I'm trying to help! y1
Isn't the Thundercloud an electron burner? I'm not 100% sure on that. It's a good looking plane! The profile...well, it can be "kit bashed" easily, so who cares what it looks like now? I'd like to see somebody kit the first electric that wins the Walker Cup. H^^ Steve

Rumor has it there are more than a few looking for a Forerunner Kit. And I don't think you would have to twist any arms if it cam with foam cores. Hint, Hint. ::) ::)

Steve these kits are already available on my website. They will come from RSM. They are new and I am in the process of getting the specs so I can post them on my website for you guys. I just didn't have the specs at this posting.

Check the specs with John Ashford of Ashford Aviation. These are two of his models. John decidely builds nothing but .40 size stunters. Now the Thunder Cloud was built for another pilot. John will also build these for you for $$$$

Walter Umland is doing the Forerunner. Not sure if it has foam wings. I know I sure do love the way mine flys. H^^
Supposed to be a built-up wing. Foam wings are not cheap, and the wing gear makes it even more, plus the packing and shipping (bulk) would make the foam kit a lot more expensive. I'd like one with a built-up wing, but not a foam wing (sold one recently). Does WU have his own laser cutter? H^^ Steve

I really like that Thundercloud.
Might have to get me one of those if it aint TOO big.
Does anybody know what issue of SN it was that had the construction article ?
Never mind I found it. It was not Stunt News, it was Jan.2010 issue of Control Line World.

OK, I just read the article. Not really a construction article. Written by both John Ashford (builder) and Will Moore (commissioner) about the project development of the bird. Not a lot of specifics in the article, but I did get this much. Was designed for Saito 62, wing was based on SV-22, area somewhere around 680-700 sq.in. Did not mention span or any other numbers. But looks like its not much bigger than you average full size stunter. I dont think it would accommodate a pipe, but looks ideal for lectric power.

The Thunder Cloud is a great looking bird. John Ashton did a great job with it. The plans I have show a span of 60 inches, an area of 665 sq inches, and a legnth of 46 1/2" .
An electric power setup should fit just fine.
-
I don't want to hijack Mikes post but yes I am doing the Forerunner,
please visit my website for its progress, the webpage has been there
for approx 2 months now.

It is indeed both electric and glow. I have it listed in the "getting all amped up" section of this forum under "list your set-up".
The Thunder Cloud works equally well with a 4-stroke and electric.
I did not have to do any modifications inside the nose for the re=powering in electric. It even balanced out correctly. John used a R/C mount , to a firewall/bulkhead
to strap on the Saito 62. I took out the R/C mount and bolted the electric motor directly to the firewall. Gas tank compartment became the electronics/battery compartment.
Utilizes the S22 wing, has longer longer tail moments than usual, and massive fuselage to house everything. I don't see any problem housing a pipe.
Thunder Cloud proved to be a really nice flying machine. Radial open front end of the fuselage not only looks cool, but literally cools everything.
One of the best performing models I have ever had. I would think it would be incredibly popular as a kit. I would want several.

Hi Will and to all reading this thread.
Yes the kits are available. There is a pre-production special on them before the ads hit the magazines. If you will go to my website www.stuntsupply.com and go to the ThunderCloud tab at the left, you can get the special pricing for advance orders on the kits. Also, the PoleDancer is available which is the .40 - .46 size of the ThunderCloud. Same plane just a little smaller.
Thanks Mike

Sorry Wynn but BJM beat everybody to it as they have the Enterprize-E and have had for several years. Brodak distributes it along with BJM. It is full fuselage dedicated Electric.

Pole Dancer:
40 sized T-Cloud. Area 570 sq in. Span: 55.5. Length: 43 in. Power: Designed for LA. 46 Weight RTF 46 ozs.

Thank you for posting the specs John. I did not have them all. The response to the release of these has been very good. Orders are already coming in.
Thank you for your contribution with these designs.

Received the RSM kit today. Looking at the plan I dont see how you think this design would accommodate a pipe. The wing is in the very bottom of the fuse. Only way a pipe can go in there, it would be hanging out the bottom. How did the vertical CG come out on original ?

its just a nobler tho - not really a "modern stunt" kit

Nice choice of all three. Good job Michael Griffin.
