Post by: Guy B Jr on June 24, 2014, 11:12:12 PM
What model of Thunderbolt glow plug is best for our use. Also, which mail order house has the best prices on them?

As far as I know, they originate at Hobby People, tho actually made by Ohlsson Corporation. Sometimes they do have a screamin' deal on one variety or other, but maybe not the ones you want to use. I've used the R/C Idlebar long reach in .46LA and Magnum XL .25 & XLS .36, and the (now defunct) 4-Cycle plug in the PA .51 and OS .46VF. The current equivalent is called the "4-cycle and Big Bore", or something like that. I also used the 4-cycle plug in the XLS .36 and .46LA with no problems that I could detect.

Randy Smith (and Leonard Neuman) sell these glowplugs.  I don't know what their prices are on them, 'cause I bought several cards of each a long time ago, and they just keep on tickin'.  H^^ Steve

Our club uses RC Long TBs in all stunt and sport engines.
