Venturi's OS engines
« on: May 29, 2010, 12:31:48 PM »
I am now ready to try my hand at making a few Venturi's.

I have a few questions about sizes. I have a OS Max-S 30 and a OS Max -25 (it does not say FP on the case). I have searched the OS web site under engine parts old and new and I can not find any information on them.

Anyone know what size the hold needs to be and how long to make them?

I have one for a FP 20-25. Will that work in the engines above?

Any info would be helpful.
Thanks
Paul

Paul,

I have a venturi for the 25 FP, but I don't think that will work, since the FP is a higher performance engine. Someone here must have one they can measure for you. Was just leaving for the field, and will check back when I return.

My 25 FP-S venturi is .260" ID, and projects about .446" above the case opening, but I don't know if the 25 came with two venturi, like the 40 FP-S.

Also have a 35 S that should be pretty close, and will measure that for you when I get home, if you don't get an answer here first.

Go to this site Paul. Find the Design board in the left column. Go there and you will find more info than you need at this point on Custom Venturis.

There is no silly, stupid, dumb or what ever other adjetive you can use for a question until after the fact that you should have asked the question before hand before asking the question.  Now what was the question? n~
