i have been given a thunder tiger gp 42 w/little or no time on it. i would like to replace the carburator with somthing suitable for c/l. does anyone have any sugestions ? also what would be a suitable glow plug for it ? any help will greatly appreaciated.

It's not a hard conversion. Either Randy or Leonard Neumann can supply the needed items. Remove carb insert venturi into engine Place the engine in a clamping device and while holding venturi into engine drill through the flat below where the carb was and the venturi at the same time. This will of course match the both of them up for a perfect fit. Instal NVA and go fly. The engines are great performers and I like them better then OS FP/LA 40's. They do run consistantly at whatever setting you care for, no Fox style 4/2/4 thankfully. Those of us that use it have been amazed at it's fuel economy. it also stops cleanly when out of fuel. It does not seem to have any bad habits. Many will advise you that you need .018 wire for competition, I use .015 for sport.
