Throttle control on C/L
« on: March 24, 2008, 07:10:57 PM »
Is anybody using electronic throttle control? If so , how?   Are there other forms of throttling other than three wires?  I really want to try and keep it simple and not terribly obvious.  Any input is welcome. Thanks   Fred Shattuck

Go to the vendors corner, find Clancy Arnold and U-Tronics. All your questions can be answered by him.

Hi, Fred - I have throttle control on my Little Cherokee.

I got a micro-servo and removed the feedback pot, allowing it to work open loop. I then installed a radio control system from a toy car, connecting the receiver output to the servo.

By blipping the transmitter, I can advance or retard the throttle and do touch-and-go, power on landings or whatever. It's just fun.
